Check H1 heading structure before publishing a page.
This free browser-only tool inspects H1 markup in HTML pasted from a webpage. It highlights missing, multiple or empty headings and provides a readable review list without uploading HTML, executing scripts or loading images.
Everything stays in your browser. This basic tokenizer is for static source markup and is not a substitute for manual heading, semantic or accessibility review.

Need to review multiple public URLs?
PAL's H1 Heading Checker & SEO Structure Audit on Apify checks headings on selected publicly accessible static HTML pages and produces review findings for a team to inspect. Open its published task example to see the required input.
It does not guarantee SEO ranking, read JavaScript-rendered heading text, rewrite your pages or evaluate the meaning of every page heading. Multiple H1 headings are not automatically an accessibility or SEO failure.
It recognizes <h1> tags in pasted static HTML and ignores HTML comments and the contents of script, style and textarea blocks. It reports unmatched H1 start tags, empty headings, and multiple headings for manual review.
It does not inspect heading order across H2–H6, visually hidden content, browser accessibility trees, DOM changes from JavaScript, or assistive-technology behavior. Consider the page context before changing its headings.
